Former Aprilia Superteen race winner Adam Shelton is still hunting for a 2009 ride even though the racing season has already started.

Shelton, who finished third in last year's Thundersport-run championship, was hoping to attract some attention from British 125GP teams as his family do not have the funds to pay for another full season of racing.

"We are trying to put together an old Aprilia RS125 to hopefully take part in some test days just for the practice but without financial backing even this is proving difficult," said Adam's father John.

"Adam could have finished higher up in the points table last year but gremlins towards the end of the year and a lack of finance contributed to everything going slightly pear-shaped."
