APRILIA DUNLOP SUPERTEENS
Australian Matt Davies won his sixth, seventh and eighth race of the year at Brands Hatch, and plans to make a last ditch attempt to take the Aprilia Superteen crown with two rounds to go.
Lee Jackson also took four podiums including a win and moves up to second place overall, but it was Wayne Ryan that came away from Brands as the new championship leader, after his four podiums were plenty enough to overtake Andy Reid in the standings.
Ben Gautrey was on the podium once and had a successful weekend, whilst Connor Tagg was left frustrated with four top five finishes but no rostrum.
Wayne also took the Superteen lap record, with a prompt 54.912 around the 1.2 mile circuit.
BRIDGESTONE THUNDERSPORT 500
John Butcher and Jonathan Harrison shared the wins at Brands Hatch, as Butcher finally pressed the pause button on the run of consecutive victories that Harrison had mounted up.
Mark Evans made the podium once and novice Phil Davenport had his best weekend to date with his first three podiums coming like buses.
Harrison and Butcher are now guaranteed at least second overall, but I doubt either rider will settle for anything other than becoming the Champion in the forthcoming rounds.

Rob Elsmere extended his championship lead at Brands with a last gasp victory in the class on Bank Holiday Monday, but it was Sam Coventry that will surely have the biggest grin on his face after taking two superb wins and a second away from Elsmere on home turf.
Alex Hutchinson also took a win and will be pleased that he and Coventry had enough to challenge Elsmere but the pair of them are going to need their talent and fortune if they’re to prize the points away from Rob in the final two rounds.
Tim Jones won four out of four in the Minitwins class, to regain the lead of the championship, whilst Jamie Morris, Clive White and Dave Lodge were the other podium visitors over the weekend.
The Moto 450 class was looking healthier at Brands too, Steve Tomes won all four races as well as setting the new Moto 450 lap record to move up to second overall, but thanks to his four second place finishes, Darren Smith still leads the championship and could win the title after just two races when we visit his home circuit Anglesey next.
PIRELLI SUPERSTOCK 600
Simon Gardner won on his debut with Thundersport GB and Tom Gazzard won two rapid races in the Superstock 600 class this weekend.
Championship leader Dan Miles took away 60 important points to give him an 83 point advantage going into Anglesey, but it was Gazzard who looked irrepressible at the front, setting a new Thundersport lap record with a 48.858.
Erol Ahmet continued his consistency with three top fives and remains the only rider to have scored points in every race so far this season.
GiMOTO STREETFIGHTER A & B
Andy Denyer is almost untouchable now in the Streetfighter ‘A’ class, as his four wins at Brands makes it 23 consecutive podiums this season whilst his closest rival Jamie Wilkins had a weekend to forget.
Wilkins crashed in race one after falling on an oil slick caused by a blown engine on another competitors bike, and subsequently borrowed the spare machine of fellow Streetfighter ‘A’ rider and gentleman Rob Garland, to take part in the rest of the weekend.
In Streetfighter ‘B’ Craig Morley won all four races with Ian Popplewell in close pursuit, closing the gap at the top of the standings.
With no Barry Utting present at Brands, Popplewell and Morley are now just 21 points away from Barry entering Anglesey.
CIA INSURANCE GP1 & SUPERTWINS
Lee Keeble won two spectacular races and Peter Baker took one, as the 50 year old Morello roofing rider extended his championship lead at Brands Hatch.
Rob Hoyles’ attempts to win his first races of the year, ended it catastrophe as he went down in race two chasing Lee Keeble, and subsequently fell again whilst attempting to pass Baker in race three.
His 16 points from race one and a new lap record of a 47.855 means that he can hold his head up high as the quickest man of the weekend, but needs to regroup before Anglesey.
Gary May made his first podium visit since Oulton Park and looked relieved to get it too, although even he can see Baker slipping away into the distance and taking away the title he currently holds.
In the Supertwins, Michael Price won three from three to extend his championship lead over Brain Greenfield, and Stuart Poyser’s first ever podium was followed up by another two shortly afterwards.
E2E SOLUTIONS GP3
Sam Hornsey won three excellent races to close in on Fraser Rogers in the GP3 championship at Brands Hatch.
Rogers made the podium on three occasions but couldn’t match the express pace set by Hornsey.
The duo were joined by Danny Kent as he came to judge his pace against Thundersport’s best, but even he was unable to keep up with Sam who ended the weekend’s proceedings with a new GP3 lap record of a 49.999.
There was delight for Scotsman Jason Douglas too, who after a full season with Thundersport GB, finally grabbed his first ever podium in the class.
METZELER FORMULA 600
Michael Price won all three Formula 600 races to take his overall tally to six for the weekend. Price now needs to keep his composure and is sure to take the title at Anglesey, should things go his way.
Darryl Cox and Chris Mort both battled it out for second all weekend, whilst James Henry just missed out on a podium finish with tyre issues for most of the meeting.
