Having travelled North, West and East so far this season, it's the turn of the South for the Thundersport GB riders, as we head to Brands Hatch on August Bank Holiday after what seems like an age since Donington Park.
It is now where riders leading the championship and riders chasing, need to find that extra gear to kick them into action with time running out in the season to make your mark in the various title races.
In the CIA Bike Insurance GP1 class, Peter Baker will be eager to get one hand on Gary May's title at Brands, as he looks to extend his championship lead and leave the chasing pack standing.
May himself will be keen to deliver some good form, after some bad luck here and some set-up issues there, May has been far from his best in recent rounds and he doesn't have just Baker to worry about. Rob Hoyles is closer than ever in the championship, looking for his first win of the season with the likes of Stu Hall, Tony Keilty, John Fisher and Glen Shaw could all feature on the short circuit.
In the Bridgestone Thundersport 500 class, John Butcher visits his home circuit desperate to prevent Jon Harrison from taking eight wins on the bounce. Butcher knows he will need to be on top of his game to beat his rival, and will be hoping that Matt Bainbridge, Wayne Bridges and a few other top riders can join in the fun to stop the so far unstoppable Harrison.
In the Pirelli Superstock 600 class, Dan Miles is another rider that could call Brands Hatch 'home' as he would only need a few podium finishes to keep his opponents sweating in a class that's been full of excitement so far in 2009.
Miles has had the consistency, but with Tom Gazzard and Erol Ahmet on top of their game, will the #69 machine have it all his own way? Keep an eye on the ever quick John Simpson and Sam Parry, and welcome back to Ricky Simmonds who may well fancy a podium finish at Brands.
The Aprilia Dunlop Superteen class is currently as close as it's been since round one at Mallory, and series leader Andy Reid must be really feeling the pinch now as his lead over Wayne Ryan in second is down to a slender five points.
Wayne could call Brands his back garden as he only lives a few miles away, but if last season is anything to go by, he'll be expecting a five or six bike freight train for the lead, therefore timing is essential.
Lee Jackson, Connor Tagg, Matt Davies and Danny Murphy should all feature, and keep an eye out for Nick Anderson, Joe Ravenscroft, Tommy Mountain and Scott Pitchers, who could all make life difficult for the usual candidates out front.
Another local rider looking for success on Bank Holiday weekend is Rob Elsmere in the BSN.com Junior Powerbike class, Rob has recently been up against stiff competition against the likes of Alex Hutchinson, Sam Coventry and Alan Brown, but would you really bet against Rob on home turf?
The IN competition Aprilia RRV550 is sure to work well around the twisty short circuit, and that mixed with Rob's experience at Brands, creates a fatal combination for his opponents.
The Minitwins and Moto 450 classes will be out with the Junior Powerbikes also and it's time to see if Leigh Hutchinson can extend his championship lead after taking his first victory of the year at Donington, he'll need to keep an eye on Tim Jones who has a wealth of experience at Brands, and Clive White is sure to join Chris Boland for another great podium battle.
In the Moto 450 class, we await to hear if IN competition have the Aprilia RRV450 ready to launch ahead of plans to run the one make series in 2010, rumour has it that defending Champion Will Hodgson will be taking to the saddle of the machine once it's ready to race.
In the Supertwin class, Michael Price will have to watch his back for close rivals at Brands Hatch, Clint De Tarnowsky has found his feet again and had a superb wet ride at Donington Park, whilst Brian Greenfield and Stuart Poyser could both run well at Brands.
Michael Price still leads the Metzeler Formula 600 class too, as the IPS Triumph rider looks to do a 'Gary May' and win two titles in one season. Chris Mort and Darryl Cox will need to pressure Price this time around if they want to stop him from taking a tight grip in the points table, and don't count out James Henry, his return to the podium at Donington is sure to revive his confidence and a confident James Henry is a quick one.
The E2E Solutions GP3 class has had its fair share of riders trying to challenge the quick 13-year-old championship leader Fraser Rogers, but despite the odd race not going Rogers way, he still comes back fighting and after a fabulous race at Donington Park from 38th on the grid, it's now or never for his rivals to tackle him before it's too late.
Simon Low looked good until bad luck struck at Donington and Sam Hornsey will know only too well that he needs a result or two at Brands to keep the pressure on.
The GiMoto Streetfighter 'A' and 'B' race should be a good watch on Bank Holiday weekend. Andy Denyer leads the 'A' battle after racing his way to 19 straight podiums in the class. It's got his rival Jamie Wilkins worried too, Jamie has won 13 races this season but just when you think Wilko has the edge over Denyer, the persistent #33 machine fights back.
Wilkins is confident going into Brands but with it being Denyer's home circuit, I can smell quite a battle forming.
In the 'B' class, Barry Utting has a huge lead over his opposition and could be another rider with one hand on the title after the Brands Hatch event. Ian Popplewell will be delighted to just get on the podium let alone win the races after some bad luck at Donington and he'll rely on Craig Morley to do the damage at his home circuit.
Utting's experience makes him favourite for the title, but he can't afford to get complacent with only three rounds to go.
