Thundersport bosses have unveiled a new class for their 2012 schedule which will allow holders of pre-national licences to race on 600cc machinery and is backed by helmet firm Nitro.

Any rider who qualifies by the above licence criteria may enter this class which may be entered either together with the Premier class or as an entirely separate entry as the races will run separately.

"The overall winner at each round will be given a fully funded entry to the next event on the main Premier 600 grid. Holbeach Motorcycle Tyres are generously providing a set of Dunlop, Bridgestone or Pirelli/Metzeler tyres as part of the prize and PCR Motorcycle Developments are providing a suspension overview and assessment," said Thundersport boss Dave Stewart.

"Both will provide full technical support as part of the package at each round. This prize is available only once to each competitor during the season and if the same winner is repeated at subsequent rounds the offer is given to the next highest placed rider as we wish to give as many riders as possible this help and support."

Nitro have also brought in a Christmas special offer for all Thundersport GB competitors that includes not only their racing products, but also includes everything else in their extensive product catalogue (http://www.nitrorider.com/catalogue.html ).

From today until the January 7 2012 everything in the Nitro range will be available to Thundersport GB registered riders at a 50% discount and Nitro have set aside £8,500 to cover this. Goods are limited to five individual items per rider and orders must be placed via myra.newton@incompetition.co.uk before 12 noon on January 7.

The series' Streetfighters class has also recived a boost with a change of title sponsor from LMB Recycling to HEL Performance. Long term sponsors LMB are staying, but with a change of class for 2012.

The first 30 “Premier” registered Streetfighters will receive a free set of brake lines from HEL Performance to a value of £87 per set, but the offer doesn’t end there.

Other Thundersport GB classes are also included and the first 90 “Premier” registered riders from the other classes will get exactly the same deal. Also, on an ongoing basis throughout the 2012 season all “Premier” registered Thundersport GB riders will be entitled to a 50% discount on all HEL Performance braking products and all “Standard” registered Thundersport GB riders will be entitled to 25% discount on those same products.
