MCE British Superbike regular Jenny Tinmouth scorched to a double win yesterday's Thundersport GP1 class at her home circuit of Oulton Park.
The Ellesmere Port rider saw off challenges from the likes of John Ingram, Phil Crowe and Danny Murphy to bag the brace of wins which sets her up nicely for the next BSB round at Snetterton in two weeks' time.
In the first race, Tinmouth crossed the line on her Honda Fireblade almost six seconds ahead of the Kawasaki-mounted Murphy with Ingram making up the podium while in the second outing, there was less than a second between her and Murphy, with Ingram again third.
"I'm absolutely delighted to have won both races, Thundersport GB is a fantastic competitive series and it is a massive morale boost to the whole team to be running right up the front and to take two race wins today has been great. We had an engine let go at the last British Superbike round at Knockhill and I have to say a massive thanks to Steve for working all hours to get the engine rebuilt in time for this weekend," said Tinmouth.
