WADDELOW WINS MRO SUPERTEEN CHAMPIONSHIP

Stephanie Waddelow took the MRO Superteen Championship title at the penultimate round last weekend at Oulton Park in Cheshire on the SS Signal UK Racing Aprilia 125.
The single female rider in the category at one point was 70 points behind the then championship leader Jack Blake and has been point chasing at each round.  As the season progressed so did the talent of the 16 year old taking three pole positions and a total of 17 wins with a round to go.
Waddelow said: “I am quite pleased, it is a high championship and I had to play catch up.  I’ve been consistently good and at Oulton Park I won one race and was second in the second to win the title.”
“It was a good weekend generally and it was hard racing with Alex [Olson] and Andy [Reid], you didn’t know what was going to happen.  We’ve still got Snetterton to go and I am still going to go for the wins.”
As for any racer funding will determine Waddelow’s 2009 season, she hopes to compete within the British GP125, but will also test riding a 600cc to open up other possibilities.
She said:  “I will try both to see which I prefer, I am not phased by the 600, but we will see.  We will be competing on a KRP125 at the last British Superbike round, there will be a lot more pressure, but I am looking forward to.”
