MCE British Superbike paddock regular Richard Brendish has been appointed UK Race Manager for Swedish suspension brand Öhlins, with a focus on BSB and Road Racing.
Responsible for managing the service contracts with customer race teams through all the classes, he will also act in a supportive role to the Öhlins Centre dealer network through his many years of racing experience in the UK.
Brendish has been an integral part of Öhlins’ 15 British Superbike crowns working for Harris Performance whilst guiding riders such as John Reynolds, Steve Hislop, Shane Byrne, Gregorio Lavilla, Leon Camier, Ryuichi Kiyonari, Tommy Hill and Alex Lowes. He also oversaw the suspension side of Michael Dunlop’s dominant 2014 Isle of Man TT campaign.
“I’ve had a great experience working with Harris for many years which I thank them for, and it is now a fantastic opportunity to work directly for Öhlins. The British Superbike series continues to go from strength to strength and we clearly need to be able to service teams from BSB through to all the vibrant support classes where riders have realised that good set-up can bridge the gap to the podium,” he said.
