Oliver’s Mount circuit has this morning announced that Suzuki will be title sponsor of the upcoming Sheene Festival at the Scarborough Circuit.

This year is the 12th anniversary of Barry Sheene’s death and Suzuki bosses said they couldn’t pass up an opportunity to woprk with the circuit. The one-day event will now be called The Barry Sheene Festival Powered by Suzuki and takes place on June 21.

“We’re really looking forward to being involved with Oliver’s Mount and the Barry Sheene Festival this year. The guys do a fantastic job of putting on and promoting all of their events,” said Suzuki’s Tim Davies.

“The opportunity to be involved in the Barry Sheene Festival is obviously something that we couldn’t pass up. Barry spent most of his racing career with Suzuki GB and is an icon not only for us, but for British motorcycling in general. We’re now looking forward to June and getting the show underway.”
