Reeves thrown TT lifeline by SMT boss Croft

Four-time World Sidecar Champion Tim Reeves has been thrown a lifeline by SMT racing boss Robin Croft and he will now be able to compete in this year’s Isle of Man TT.

After being frozen out of this year’s British F1 Championship, Reeves was once again poised to call it a day as existing and potential sponsors went by the wayside, but a call from the genial Croft this morning has Reeves’ 2014 back on track. He will run a DMR Honda outfit with engines by MJW.

“After the British championship thing, it looked a lot like we wouldn’t be doing anything this year and I was set to hang it all up, to be honest - which would be a shame as I am not ready to do that,” said Reeves, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.

“I was delighted when Robin rang to say he would like to run me again at the Isle of Man and the Southern 100. It is good to have the chance to get some more roads silverware before I eventually do call it quits.”
