Padgett's Honda's John McGuinnes remained top of the Supersport standings with his time from Tuesday after the middleweight riders got the worst of today's weather conditions at the Vauxhall North West 200 with heavy rain bringing the second qualifying session to a premature end.
The rain that had been falling all morning increased in intensity from the moment the riders left the line and the majority of the field completed a couple of laps before deciding themselves it wasn't worthwhile carrying on.
Although the lap speeds were largely immaterial, Michael Dunlop topped the timesheets at 103.757 followed by Lee Johnston (102.313), Gary Johnson (100.652), Alastair Seeley (100.618), Cameron Donald (100.283) and Bruce Anstey (100.134).
However, after suffering problems during Tuesday's sessions, the lap times posted by Johnston, Johnson and Seeley mean they have now qualified for the two races albeit in 21st, 30th and 31st respectively.
Top ten overall:
1 John McGuinness 111.995
