2013 NW200: 'My shoulder popped out' - William Dunlop

Milwaukee Yamaha's William Dunlop had to stop and get medical attention during yesterday's opening Vauxhall North West 200 Superstock race when his shoulder popped of its socket.

The Ballymoney rider was on his way down to the Magherabuoy chicane when it happened and medics pushed it back in. He was forced to retire but will be back tomorrow.

A wrong tyre choice in the Supersport race meant a double retirement but he is positive that Saturday's races will bring better results.

"The 600 is working well and I'm not too disappointed as the bike is fast and we have it sorted now for Saturday and more importantly it'll all be up to speed for the TT. My shoulder popped out in the Superstock race on the run down into the chicane ay Magherabuoy," said Dunlop.

"I pulled over and got it put back in by the medics, so I'll get it strapped up for tomorrow, but we're also getting there with the 'stocker. Two retirements but I'm positive enough."
