Dean Harrison bagged a Supersport double in this year’s Southern 100 races and became the first man to lap at more than 110mph on a 600cc bike on the Billown circuit.
Harrison took the Mar-Train Yamaha to wins on separate days and had to fight off the attentions of Guy Martin and Dan Kneen to take the laurels and set the fastest lap with a 110.431mph.
“The bike worked absolutely mint and I can’t fault the Mar-Train boys – they’ve done a great job for me this week. I had to sit behind Guy and Dan for a couple of laps i race two but once I got to the front I just put my head down. To give Tim and Sonya and everyone in the Mar-Train team two wins and a new class lap record is pretty satisfying. It will certainly do the job,” said Harrison.
