2015 NW200: Michael Rutter’s good pub guide

Michael Rutter enjoys a pint when racing is done and he reckons the must visit boozer for anyone going to the NW200 is the Anchor Bar in Portstewart.

“Everyone goes there, the atmosphere is terrific, the sort of place where you could be lost for days, it is just brilliant. And, it is the home of the Aura Nightclub where the emphasis is on fun and enjoyment,” said Rutter.

Leaving the Anchor, Rutter has four other top watering holes on his itinerary. “Moving on, call in at Kellys in Portrush and you really have to make the effort to go for a pint at Joey’s bar in Ballymoney.

“Another place where the atmosphere is always good, and so is the beer is the Harbour Bar in Portrush.  Dash back to Portstewart for a quick pint or to in the York Hotel.”

And there are plenty of other establishments to visit and reflect on that day’s action.
