Stephen Thompson and a female spectator who were both injured in a crash during yesterday’s eventually-abandoned North West 200 Superstock race remain critical but stable in hospital.
Horst Saiger and Dean Harrison were also involved in the incident. Harrison walked away while Saiger was taken to the local Causeway Hospital with minor injuries. Thompson and the spectator were taken to Belfast by air ambulance.
“North West 200 competitor Stephen Thompson and the female spectator injured in a crash during the Superstock race at the 2015 Vauxhall International North West 200 on Saturday remain in a critical but stable condition in the Royal Victoria hospital, Belfast this morning,” said a statement from race organisation.
