The first encounters that will open race week at the 2023 Isle of Man TT have been pushed back to later in the afternoon following a serious road traffic accident on the Manx isle.
Saturday’s track action will see Supersport and the Sidecars take off down Bray Hill in the first of ten races packing an expanded schedule for 2023, while a practice session was also pencilled in for 10.30am beforehand.
However, organisers for the TT announced there would be changes to the schedule following a road traffic accident at the 33rd Milestone on the mountain section of the course.
After initial delays, a revised schedule was announced with the Supersport race - originally planned for 12.45pm - now expected to go ahead at 14.45, with the Sidecar race now taking place later in the day at 17.00.
Organisers have since confirmed road closures are going ahead shortly (12.30pm), thus signalling the start of race preparations for the riders and teams.
