2025 Isle of Man TT - Organisers rejig TT schedule with Q5 on Sunday, Superbike TT on Monday

The 2025 Isle of Man TT is facing further scheduling headaches after the vast majority of Saturday's planned qualifying practice action was cancelled due to bad weather.

In a week that has seen the programme upended several times due to changeable weather conditions on the Manx isle, while Qualifying 4 was able to get around 40mins track action in for the Superbike/Superstock riders, there will be no Q4 for Supersport/Supertwins and no start for Q5 later today.

It left organisers with a quandary over whether to attempt to squeeze in a fifth and final practice session before the Superbike race, which was due to get underway at 13.30 on Sunday.

However, an update from organisers confirmed Sunday will be devoted to the fifth and final qualifying practice for all classes, while the Superbike TT is moved to Monday, alongside the opening race for the Supersport and Sidecar classes.

With sunnier conditions forecast from midday on Sunday, it is hoped all riders across the classes will be able to recover missed track time with sessions set to take place between 13.30 and 16.45.

So far, only one of the original five qualifying practice sessions have been completed, though Q2 on Friday afternoon was only stopped ten minutes before the scheduled time.

Even so, with Saturday originally intended to play host to the first Supersport and Sidecar races, the decision to reschedule those for Monday in favour of two more practice sessions is a measure of the difficulties organisers have faced this week.

Organisers are yet to confirm what time Monday's three planned races will go ahead, though again current forecasts are positive.

Davey Todd set the fastest time of the week so far on his Superstock-specification 8TEN BMW M 1000 RR moments before the red flag in Q4 was thrown due to low visibility from cloud cover on the Mountain.

His effort of 133.155mph puts him marginally ahead of Dean Harrison, with the two emerging as the favourites for Superbike/Superstock glory in the wake of Peter Hickman's premature withdrawal through injury.
