Honda TT Legends rider Simon Andrews has returned to the Isle of Man for a familiarisation visit before he begins his World Endurance schedule at the Bol d'Or on April 14 and says he has found a couple of places to make up some time.
Andrews, who was fastest newcomer at last year's event with a 125mph lap, is still recovering from the broken leg which ended his 2011 season early but he is testing at Snetterton this week as he continues to work his way back to full fitness.
"It's been a long, hard and frustrating winter but the future is looking a lot brighter than it was when I was laying in the back of the ambulance at Snetterton. It was good to get back over the island and have another look around the Mountain Course. There are a couple of areas I have identified I can make up some time but, as always with the TT, it's a case of taking it step by step and doing it properly, specially with a full-on Honda superbike," said Andrews, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.
