BUSH ROAD RACES: FARQUHAR DOES DOUBLE

Ryan Farquhar from nearby Dungannon extended his points advantage in the 2008 Duke Road Race Rankings Series at the Bush National Road Races, which were eventually abandoned due to the atrocious weather conditions.

But not before ‘on-form’ Farquhar had claimed victory in the Open Superbike race and the Junior 250cc race, setting a new lap record into the bargan.

English visitor Alistair Haworth took both the laurel wreaths in the Junior and Senior Support races, whilst Andrew Neill claimed the 125cc race victory.

Then the heavens opened which forced the remaining races to be abandoned and the meeting brought to a premature end.
