Manxman Conor Cummins is reportedly on the verge of signing a deal that will see him get a factory-supported ride for this year's Isle of Man TT and the other international road races.
Cummins, who usually splits his time between the McAdoo and Black Horse Kawasaki squads, has secured a slot with works backing and a high-profile team-mate. It is not yet known whether he has put pen to paper on the contract.
The Ramsey man is still recovering from the horrendous crash at The Verandah in 2010 which saw him shatter five vertebrae, badly break his left arm and wrench the ligaments in his knee. A programme of surgery and physio has seen the six-foot-plus racer back in competition and he is now looking forward to TT2012.
