Former MCE British Superbike rider James Edmeades is set for a return to racing in 2014 and will concentrate on the three international roads meetings.
After a few years out of racing, Edmeades has been putting the final pieces together to be back racing at the NW200, IOM TT and the Ulster GP which he hopes will open up the opportunity to get an entry at Macau.
Edmeades is aiming to compete in the all the classes and has already secured a ride for the Supersport class on a Triumph 675. He is currently looking at various options for the Superbike and Superstock classes, whilst hoping soon to announce a very exciting opportunity for the Supertwin class.
I'm really pleased with the people I have around me for making my return to racing next year, things are coming together very well. I'm training very hard and putting in a lot of gym time and think my fitness has showed during the first few test rides, they have gone very well," he said.
"It's all looking very promising, I was instantly on the pace at the front, qualifying second after no warm up. But, I have so much more to give, I feel I can be quicker than I ever have."
Edmedes has formed a supporters club for his 2014 season called Club88 to help fund the expense of running a race team. With regular Club88 only updates on Facebook and Twitter, James has embraced the social media and hopes that via public support he can make a success of 2014.
You can follow him and the teams progress on facebook (James Edmeades Racing) or Twitter (@JamesEdmeades) for updates or contact him directly at club_88@outlook.com on how you can become a Club88 member.
