Road legend Ryan Farquhar will partner Ian Hutchinson at Tyco BMW at the 2016 Vauxhall North West 200 after the team secured an eleventh hour deal with the promoting Coleraine & District Motor Club to run the Dungannon rider.
Farquhar, who is a five-time winner at the famous Northern Irish event, was originally scheduled to ride the Isle of Man TT only on the Tyco BMW, but team manager Philip Neill is now delighted to be bringing a two-rider team to his local event next weekend.
“I was happy with the deal I had to ride the TT this year on the Tyco BMW, but deep down I was hoping that a deal would be sorted for the North West also. I’ve had a full day with the team, perfecting set-up on the bike, which means we don’t waste two days at the North West,” said Farquhar.
“As expected it’s some piece of kit and I’m really looking forward to getting more mileage on it and racing it in the Superbike class. I think we can do a pretty decent job.”
