Supersport TT winner Gary Johnson will team up with fellow Metzeler National Superstock 1000 regular Steve Heneghan for the 2012 Macau Grand Prix in a squad backed by Quattro Plant.
Johnson is a Macau regular while Irishman Heneghan is a novice and will hope to benefit from his team-mate's experience. The pair will ride Honda and Kawasaki machinery respectively under the colours of Heneghan's short-circuit sponsor Quattro.
"I'm really looking forward to this year's Macau GP running under the Quattro Plant Motorsport banner. I'm going to be the most prepared I've ever been using the few years' experience I've gained so far," said Johnson.
"I'm hoping I can pass some of my knowledge on to Steve and help him in his newcomer year. Looking at the entry sheet, Michael Rutter has got to be the man to beat but as always there's a strong field attending, so I hope to improve on the fourth and fifth places I've finished up to now."
Heneghan added: "I’ve loved riding the Quattro Plant Kawasakis at the NorthWest 200 and the Isle of Man TT this year. The bikes are good, so I’m confident of a good finish. Obviously as it’s my first year here I’ll be
learning the track as I go, and with only four sessions before the race, it’s going to be a steep learning curve."
