Glenn Irwin has pulled the wraps off the PBM Racing Team Ducati Panigale V4 R he will race in the British Superbike Championship this season as he also launched his bid to make it ten consecutive victories on the 2024 North West 200.
The Ulsterman this week confirmed he will defend PBM’s BSB title - won by Tommy Bridewell in 2023 - with a single-bike entry into the domestic series, as well as confirm his return to the NW200 road race he has dominated in recent years.
Irwin, who finished a close runner-up to Bridewell in BSB by just half-a-point, chose a launch event in Coleraine this week to reveal he will continue to compete with prominent branding from BeerMonster as he did in 2023.
As well as targeting an elusive BSB title, Irwin will be seeking his ninth and tenth victories at the North West 200 to bring him towards his idols in the record books, Joey Dunlop and Michael Rutter.
“I have to pinch myself that I am close to the same number of Superbike wins as my favourite British Superbike racer ever, Michael Rutter and Joey Dunlop who I grew up idolising,” he said.
“But records are there to be broken and I would love to do it. And I want to go on and win 11, 12 and more.”
