A comment in jest whilst helping out novice racer Richard Stubbs at Oulton Park led to his business partner and fellow director at iDesign Kitchens and Bathrooms, Denise Chenoweth, equipping Jim Hodson with a bike for this year’s Superstock TT with the effort also being supported by Remote Clothing.
“Richard and Denise helped me out at the TT last year through their company and I was talking with Richard about this year’s Superstock TT telling him I’d got an entry but no bike,” advised Hodson.
“That was on the Saturday and then on the Tuesday Richard told me Denise had bought the ex Ian Lougher Racing ZX10 that was Connor Cummins’ spare bike from 2010 for me to ride.”
“I’m currently battling breast and skin cancer and wanted to do something for Cancer Research UK so this seemed liked a perfect opportunity to raise awareness and some money for them” said Chenoweth.
Hodson added: “As well as the TT we’re also planning to run at the bike at the North West 200 and the Ulster Grand Prix and we want to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK, with any prize money I win on the bike also being donated.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for me and I’m delighted to be involved. I can’t thank Denise enough for her generosity.”
