Former Irish Superbike Champion Michael Pearson reckons he could do with another pair of arms in order to hang on to the ex-Guy Martin Fireblade he rode at Bishopscourt last weekend.
The BTS bike, which is owned by Antrim haulage contractor Billy Barron, was in Pearson's view, the most powerful Superbike that he has ever ridden. Only for a few little gremlins, Pearson said that the bike can be a winner on just about any track, given track time on it.
"What a bike.... you have no idea the power that it has. I think I would need another pair of arms just to hold onto it, but it was brilliant out there today, although two seventh place finishes does not seem to be much, but I am extremely grateful for Billy Barron of BTS for giving me the chance to ride it today," said Pearson.
"We had a little problem with water coming out of the bike, which we think may be a problem with the cylinder head gasket, but other than that the bike was perfect. I have never ridden a bike with traction control on it, and that was really difficult to get your head round. I would really love another crack on it somewhere, but it's a experience that I will never forget."
