Grids for this year's Macau Grand Prix will adopt a three in a row format as used in MotoGP instead of the traditional four bikes in a line as used in previous years.
No reasons have been given for the change but it has more than likely been done to try and decrease the number of machines heading into the first and pretty quick left hander at Reservoir all together.
That should then string out the pack and allow a safer passage through Grandstand, a fast right before riders are hard on the anchors for Lisboa for the first time.
