NW200: ANSTEY TAKES POLE AFTER WET SECOND QUALIFYING

Relentless Suzuki's Bruce Anstey will start from pole for Saturday's NorthWest 200 Superbike races after rain slowed this evening's second qualifying session and his time from Tuesdau will stand.

Anstey lapped put in a 121.632mpg lap on Tuesday night, which is some three miles an hour slower than Steve Plater's outright lap record, but was a second faster than HM Plant Honda's John McGuinness. Scotsman Keith Amor is third with a 119.896 lap and last year's winner Steve Plater rounds out the front row.

Anstey's team mate Cameron Donald is at the head of the second row with a 119.428 lap, followed by an unhappy Michael Rutter, Irish hero Ryan Farquhar and Maxman Conor Cummins on the McAdoo Kawasaki.
