North West 200 chiefs have confirmed that both Josh Brookes and Ian Hutchinson will compete in next year's races after the furore over new electronics rules at the Isle of Man TT in 2014.

It is still not clear whether the Milwaukee Yamaha pair will race on Mona's Isle next June but they will both be at the nine-mile triangle, says event director Mervyn Whyte.

“It is a great start for our 2014 event to be able to announce the inclusion of two big stars like Josh and Ian. Hutchy proved at Macau that he is back to his best and that he means business and Josh is a class act who could surprise a lot of people. It is really exciting to have both of them back with their new Milwaukee Yamaha team," he said.
