NW200: MARTIN IN GOOD SHAPE AFTER FIRST PRACTICE

Hydrex Honda's Guy Martin is in good shape after first practice at the NorthWest 200, reckons crew chief Mick Shanley and he is riding a rocketship Fireblade for the two Superbike races.

Shanley reckons his team have the most horsepower seen out of the Fireblade this year but wasn't to be drawn on figures and is confident that Martin has the package under him to take some silverware home this year.

"It's a quick bike, that is for sure and it's the most horsepower we have seen off the dyno this year. Guy has ridden well tonight just to see what's what with all three bikes and we will see where we are on Thursday," said Shanley.

"I'm not expecting anything come Saturday but I think we are definitely in with shout in all three classes. I am looking at the electronics for the most part and letting the boys get on with running the pit themselves."
