Guy Martin's Hydrex Honda crew chief Mick Shanley has revealed that the Lincolnshire racer spends two minutes and 27 seconds at full throttle on his CBR600RR Supersport bike and one minute and nine seconds on a fully-shut throttle during a 4min 44s lap of the NorthWest 200. Which leaves Martin just one minute and eight seconds to be doing something else with it.
"It's pretty awesome really," said Shanley, talking to bikesportnews.com this evening. "I haven't sorted the numbers for that part from the Superbike yet but he's definitely on it. We qualified towards the middle, but we had some stability issues to sort out today, which we have done and Guy has done well from worse grid positions than this here.
"It was shame we didn't get any time this evening with the Supersport bike but we know where we are and Guy is confident on all the bikes. I have had a word with the boss tonight and he's happy too."
