NW200: MERVYN WHITE HOPES FOR DAYTIME QUALIFYING IN FUTURE

NorthWest 200 Clerk of the Course Mervyn White has said he would like to run qualifying during the day in the near future after tonight's Supersport session was cancelled due to rain.

Michael Rutter, among others, has failed to put in a qualifying time on his Supersport bike for Saturday's race but will be slotted into the grid somewhere.
White, speaking on BBC TV, said: "I would like to run a qualifying session between 12pm and 4pm in the future but we have to take into consideration the local businesses and schools."
