As the rest of the UK was bathed in sunshine, rain called a halt to the opening evening of Southern 100 practice on the Isle of Man with competitors including Guy Martin only able to get in a handful of laps.
At first, the rain wasn't too bad but then after a couple of session, race direction deemed it too heavy to continue, so all action on Castletown's Billown Circuit was called off.
Practice should resume tomorrow, weather permitting.
