Splitlath Redmond Aprilia will field John Simpson in this year's Manx Grand Prix which will see both make the debut at the Isle of Man event which starts on August 18.

Simpson, who had great success with the team at Aberscare Park a couple of weeks ago, will ride a Triumph 675cc triple in the Newcomers, Junior and Senior races.

“I’m so excited, I can’t wait to get out there. I’ve had my eye on the Manx for a few years now and to finally get the chance to do it is just great. I really enjoy road racing, it’s a real buzz. I’ve done a few things before but nothing like this. This is a big event, a big course and it’s a big challenge but it’s one I can’t wait to do. I’m raring to get out there and get going," said Simpson.
