Despite much speculation, organisers of the Tandragee 100 have said the race will go ahead next season and it will be a bigger and better event in 2009.

The 2008 race was marred by the death of hero Martin Finnegan but his family have given their support to running the meeting again and the decision was made unanimously by members of the North Armagh Motorcycle and Car Club.

The race has also got a new title sponsor in the shape of Gerard and Siobhan Rice of Around a Pound, who have previously partnered individual races.
