The North West 200 dates for 2026 have been revealed, and the road racing event will take place in early May.
The first major road racing event of the 2026 season, the North West 200, will be run between Monday, the 4th and Saturday, the 9th of May.
As it is the first major road racing event on the calendar, the North West 200 has become a very popular event with riders and fans alike.
It has become a popular event with riders who are looking for a Warm-Up for the Isle of Man TT, which takes place later in the month.
Track action will begin on the North coast on Wednesday, 6 May, with the first practice sessions, before more practice on Thursday, 7 May. Roads will close from 9am to 3pm on both of those days.
The first race action will take place on Thursday evening, with the Superstock, Superbike and Supersport classes running over four laps.
Racing continues on Saturday 9 May with a six-race programme that will feature two Superbike, two Supertwin, a Supersport and a Superstock contests. Roads on Saturday will close from 9am to 7pm.
Coverage details for the 2026 North West 200 are yet to be announced, though it is likely BBC Northern Ireland will continue to broadcast the event live.
In 2025, the North West 200 saw Michael Dunlop take three victories across the Superbike, Superstock and Supersport classes.
Davey Todd also took three race wins for the 8TEN Racing Team as he won a Superstock race and two Superbike races.
Richard Cooper and Paul Jordan were also race winners at the event in 2025, as Cooper won a Supertwin and Supersport event, and Jordan won a Supertwin race.
