Ballymoney boys, William and Michael Dunlop have both decided to withdraw from the 2008 Isle of Man TT following the death of their father Robert during the North West 200 practice a week past on Thursday.
At present the priority of both boys is to look after their mother Louise who has been devastated by the shock death of her husband. William in a statement earlier this week said that neither he nor Michael will take part in the TT this year and will now be seriously reconsidering their future in road racing.
In the short term William is intending to participate in the Snetterton round of the British 125 GP Championship for the KRP Racing team in June, but at present no other plans have been made, although William is seriously considering no longer taking part in road racing, although he has not ruled out a return to road racing at a later time, but feels at present his racing career lies in short circuit racing. Michael, on the other hand will be focusing on his mother for the foreseeable future and is still unsure where his career will head next.
