TT 2009: CROWE AND COX TAKEN TO HOSPITAL

HM Plant Honda's Sidecar duo of Nick Crowe and Mark Cox have been airlifted to Nobles Hospital on the Isle of Man following an incident at the Ballacob section of the circuit, which is on the run into the leap at Ballaugh Bridge. The second Sidecar race was red-flagged as the leaders went into Ramsey Hairpin on lap one.
Unofficial reports state that Crowe has a broken leg and wrist while Cox is sitting up in bed and talking but has suffered a broken ankle  and some hip and neck injuries. There is also some talk of a rabbit being involved in the accident.
It is believed that Crowe's outfit was on fire which led to the race being stopped. The planned Senior TT practice session has now been cancelled and tonight's Sidecar race has been cancelled with no re-run later in the week.
