TT 2009: PUNCTURE SUSPECTED IN LINSDELL CRASH

Olie Linsdell's 150mph crash at Glen Duff on Wednesday night could well have been caused by a puncture as the youngster has said he felt the bike do something strange.

Peter Berwick, on one of whom's bikes Linsdell is riding, visited the Bedfordshire rider in Nobles Hospital yesterday after an operation to pin his broken left femur and spoke to my colleague Edgar Jessop last night.

"Olie is OK and comfortable after his operation and seems reasonably happy. He still isn't totally sure about what happened but said the bike did something odd and he thinks it may have been a puncture," said Berwick.

Linsdell is due to undergo surgery again to sort out his injured elbow, possibly today.
