British Supersport star Jenny Tinmouth came within one mile an hour of going through the magic 100mph lap on her second-ever timed circuit of The Mountain Course.
Tinmouth, who was out on her three-year-old Sorrymate.com CBR600, says she was held up on her second lap, which was 98.879mph, and then a yellow flag at the 32nd milestone put paid to her third.
The self-deprecating Tinmouth, who is a newcomer this year, told bikesportnews.com this evening: "I thought it was a bit crap and slow to be honest. I caught some slower riders on my second lap and couldn't seem to find a way past so that buggered that up.
"I am really looking forward to getting out on the big bikes tomorrow night and I reckon the 100mph mark should be history."
