Street Sweep PBM Kawasaki's Michael Dunlop took his second career TT win on the Isle of Man this evening with a victory in the Royal London 360 Superstock race which he led from halfway through lap one.
The win makes up for the Ballymoney man's disappointment at retiring from the lead of the Monster Supersport race this morning but adds to the Supersport win he took in 2009. John McGuinness took second place with Guy Martin third.
Dunlop snatched the lead from Martin going into Ramsey after only half a second covered the top three for the opening half-lap. The Relentless Suzuki man kept hold of M-Lop to the Bungalow but by the time they crossed the line at the end of lap one, Martin was back in the lead with a 1.69s advantage.
McGuinness was in a solid third place at the end of lap one with Gary Johnson three seconds further back in fourth and William Dunlop hauling his way into fifth place.
M-Lop seriously got the hammer down on the run to Glen Helen, negating Martin's advantage and carving out his own lead of four seconds. That had risen to six seconds at Ballaugh, ten seconds at Ramsey and 12s at the Bungalow as Johnson retired from the race at Creg-ny-Baa.
As lap two came to an end, M-Lop lapped in 129.709mph and was 13s ahead of Martin but wily veteran McGuinness had started to pull back some time on the Lincolnshire tea maker and Johnson's retirement had prmoted Keith Amor to fourth after he had gone past W-Lop at Ramsey.
M-Lop was 15s ahead at Glen Helen following pitstops but McGuinness went past Martin as they went into Ramsey but the 16-time TT winner could do nothing about M-Lop and he held 17s lead until he began to slow on the last lap.
Cameron Donald, meanwhile, had snuck up on W-Lop on the last lap and went past him at the Bungalow but the elder Dunlop was back past for fifth as they took the chequered flag, finishing four-tenths ahead but 30s behind Amor.
Manxman Dan Kneen was seventh, Michael Rutter eighth, Adrian Archibald ninth, James Hillier tenth and newcomer Simon Andrews was an unbelievable 11th place ahead of names like Conor Cummins and Ian Lougher.
