This evening's first practice session for TT2011 had to be red-flagged at just before quarter to nine due to heavy rain and hailstones on the way up the Mountain from the Gooseneck onwards.
Legend John McGuinness had set the fastest speed of 122.838mph on his Superbike with Bruce Anstey on his Superstock Honda second and Keith Amor's Superbike third quickest. Lincolnshire's Gary Johnson was fourth fastest and Guy Martin fifth.
Martin had been on schedule to go quickest with his flying lap but pushed his Relentless Suzuki into pit-lane with an as-yet-to-be-revealed problem.
