Tyco Suzuki's Guy Martin is unconcerned he hasn't been able to match the quick laptimes set by Superbike rivals John McGuinness and Michael Dunlop during practice and says that his GSX-R1000 is as good as it has ever been.
The Lincolnshire man has had his fair share of dramas with technical issues on one evening of the curtailed practice and then suffering cramp in another. He has, however, topped the Superstock practice sheets and is well in contention for Supersport silverware.
"Only two men have done 130mph laps so far, but that doesn't bother me. For a number of reasons we maybe didn't get the clear laps we needed but the bike feels really strong," said Martin.
"As a matter-of-fact ,it's as good as it has even been around here, so I'm confident going into tomorrow. The Metzeler boys are doing a top job for us with those tyres and the combination of Ohlins suspension and good tyres makes the job so much better. I'm looking forward to tomorrow."
