Tyco Suzuki's Josh Brookes upped his game again in today's final Superbike practice sessions ahead of making his Isle of Man debut tomorrow afternoon, lapping at 124.4763mph and saying he is starting to have fun.
The Bringelly British Superbike contender, who intends to remain in the wally-bib leathers all week whether he has to wear them or not, reckons he has got over the fear and nervousness and is now enjoying the buzz.
"The fear and nervous part has gone now and now I'm having fun. It was a great buzz riding round the island today, still learning and I'm looking forward to tomorrow. We haven't changed a thing on the Superbike, not even a click of rebound and we're in good shape," said Brookes, speaking to bikesportnews.com this evening.
"I did some more laps on the Superstock bike as well today and that is getting there too. We made some changes to the rear spring and will go back to a tyre we used the other night."
