TT 2013: Hillier takes Lightweight win and lap record

Bournemouth's James Hillier has taken his debut Isle of Man TT win this morning, taking a decisive victory in the bikesocial.co.uk Lightweight race and smashing the lap record with a 119.130mph on his final circuit.

The Kawsaki man, who has started at number one all week, only surrendered his lead on the second lap when pitstops put Ivan Lintin into top spot but Hillier made made back a 14-second deficit at Glen Helen by the Grandstand on lap two and finished with a 33-second lead over Dean Harrison.

Harrison took second place from Lintin on lap three and he was also passed by Conor Cummins by Glen Helen on lap three with Manxman taking his first podium of the 2013 TT race week and his father Billy also finished the race.
