Honda Legends' John McGuinness shows no sign of hanging up his leathers and confirmed that he will be back at the Isle of Man TT next season even after winning 20 races and racking up 41 podiums.
The Morecambe Missile equalled Joey Dunlop's podium record in the second Supersport race and then bettered it yesterday while taking his 20th win and sixth Senior TT victory.
"The feeling I've got now is I am absolutely buzzing. I never thought at the age of 41 I'd have won my 20th TT when I watched the bikes go round all those years ago. So long as Honda and all the important people around me, the Padgett family, Neil Tuxworth, keep their faith, I will keep coming back and have another go," said McGuinness, speaking after the Senior.
"There's no better feeling than racing for six laps with these lads in these conditions. I’ve had a good week but a win’s escaped me so do it today with the sun shining and thousands of fans waving me all the way is brilliant.
"The conditions were incredible, the bike was fantastic and with two superb pit stops we got the job done. I still feel really sharp and I hit all my apexes on the final lap so with a Honda 1-2-3, the job’s a dream."
