For the first time in almost 20 years, Nick Morgan is absent from the British Championship paddock but the ever-smiling 'geezer' has returned to racing in the last month with his MSS Kawasaki concern supporting Dean Harrison's International road racing effort.
The Bradford youngster is tipped for great things for this season on the RC Express Racing Kawasaki ZX-10R and Bell Yamaha R6 and is sure to benefit from the technical support of Morgan's crew.
"Without doubt I'd love to be back in BSB," said Morgan speaking to bikesportnews.com. "But at the moment it's not an option so it's good to be keeping my hand in with Dean and the RC Express boys. I've been a bit lost not being at the first three BSB rounds so when the North West 200 came around it was good to get back racing again."
"Obviously we enjoyed our time at the North West with Alastair (Seeley) taking a good win whilst it's been a breath of fresh air working with Dean. He's really grateful for everything that people do for him and he's got that innocence of youth where he just wants to jump on a motorbike and go racing.
"He's got undoubted talent so whatever we can do to help and improve the set-up of the bikes, passing on what we know from all our years of working with Kawasakis in BSB, that's what we'll do."
"It's been a frustrating time for all of us so far with the weather but Dean had some good laps on the Supertwin on Saturday and is feeling pretty relaxed about everything so we're looking forward to getting stuck in now that the weather's picked up."
