BMW’s Michael Dunlop has taken another emphatic victory in today’s postponed RL360 Superstock TT, going over the line some 20 seconds ahead of youngster Dean Harrison with Bruce Anstey in third.
It is the Ballymoney man’s ninth TT win and he joins Bruce Anstey and the late David Jefferies on the all-time winners’ list. It is also the third time Dunlop has won the Superstock TT while it is Harrison’s second Isle of Man podium.
Dunlop was never headed in the four-lap race while Harrison had an early scrap with Gary Johnson for second but yesterday’s Supersport race winner didn’t make it past the Bungalow on lap two, handing Valvoline Honda’s Anstey third place and he has been taken to Noble’s Hospital.
Australian David Johnson put in a storming last lap to nick fourth place, less than a second ahead of Conor Cummins who had to contend with a problem in the pitstops while Lee Johnston moved ahead of Michael Rutter for sixth.
