Tim Reeves is hoping for a trouble free run during tonight’s practice session at the Isle of Man TT Races after only completing two laps thus far.
The F13K Cancer/Klaffi Honda driver's fastest lap so far is 107.023mph, set on Monday evening, with his Tuesday evening session cut short when passenger Patrick Farrance, clipped the bank on the left hander just before Laurel Bank on their opening lap.
"We ran a new engine in on the first lap on Monday and everything felt good but on the second lap we had a water heating problem and had to cruise round hence the 107mph lap. We rectified the problem though and were all set for Tuesday,” Reeves told BSN today.
"We set off good and strong and the bike felt really good but Patrick caught his backside on the banking just before Laurel Bank and we had to stop. He was out the chair a little bit more than usual whilst I was a little bit tighter than normal so the combination of the two resulted him catching the bank."
"He was winded a bit and so it wasn't possible to carry on but up until that point, the bike was flying. He's a bit bruised but otherwise ok so we're all set for another go tonight. Like I say, the bike was flying for the first few miles last night so it's all good for some quick laps tonight."
