Smiths BMW’s Peter Hickman backed up his third place in the opening TT 2018 Superbike practice session by topping the Superstock practice with a 130mph lap on the S1000RR.
Hickman did two laps on each bike and his flying lap in the Superstock class was a 130.219 to just beat Padgetts Honda’s Conor Cummins for top spot. The Ramsey man’s flying lap, set early in the session, was a 129.584 - five seconds behind Hickman.
Fellow Manxman Dan Kneen, on the Tyco BMW, went round at 128.843mph while David Johnson picked up fourth place on the Gulf BMW with a 128.139. Dean Harrison, who topped the Superbike session, set a 128.134 from a standing start for fifth place on the Silicone Kawasaki.
Michael Dunlop put in a 127.002 from a standing start for sixth place with Michael Rutter, on the Bathams BMW, seventh. Gary Johnson, James Hillier, Lee Johnston and Sam West completed the top ten.
In the Supersport class, Ivan Lintin was top dog on 123.563 with Jamie Coward second, Derek McGee third, James Cowton fourth and Derek McGee in fifth.
