Smiths BMW’s Peter Hickman upped his pace to set a 130.619mph lap to lead the TT 2018 Superstock times on the second night of practice but he was less than a second ahead of Dean Harrison.
Harrison jumped off his Superbike after breaking Michael Dunlop’s lap record and set a 130.553 from a standing start. Hickman was just ahead of him on the road and, after setting a 130.369 on his first lap, put in the 130.619 to lead the way.
Tyco BMW’s Dan Kneen is only two seconds off the pace, putting in a 129.140 on his flying lap to take third place while Lee Johnston was fourth on the works Fireblade with a 128.288 on his second lap.
Padgett’s Honda man Conor Cummins was fifth with a 128.154, just in front of James Hillier’s Bournemouth Kawasaki in sixth on a 128.110. David Johnson put in one lap of 127.719 for seventh with Phil Crowe, Ian Hutchinson and Sam West completing the top ten.
